Dinner Show tonight Dinner @ 7:00 PM Show at 8:00 PM
Our Flamenco Dinner Show is performed either in a small room with 40 seats or on our covered patio when more that 40 guests are expected. The intimacy of both spaces puts you up close so that you can almost touch the dancers. One is reminded of the caves in Granada where Flamenco shows are performed. Our shows are intense and highly charged. There are almost always people standing, applauding and yelling "Ole!" and"Bravo!" Reserve now.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Flamenco show, if you need to cancel your reservation, please do so by 5 p.m. the day of the show. A no call/no show will result in a $15.00 per person charge to the credit card used to hold your reservation.
"Dinner is ordered from our time tested and true dinner menu so you may enjoy our excellent selection of tapas and paella. By the time you get to dessert, the dancers, singers and guitarist will hit the stage. Seating is Bistro style, you may be joined by other guests at your table."
- David Salazar
Most of our shows are performed by the National Institute of Flamenco (NIF) , a unique, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the art, culture and history of flamenco.
Rooted in the area of Andalusia and Seville, this dance, which can be traced back to 15th century gypsies, was originally used to interpret stories. The three basic parts to flamenco are the Cante (song), Baile (dance) and toque (guitar). During a juerga (gathering/celebration) the audience is encouraged to participate with Jaleos (shouts), Palmas (hand clapping), Pitos (finger snapping or rapping on the table) or Zapateo (foot stamping). The popularity of this earthy, passionate dance has brought with it many interpretations. Versions of flamenco can be seen in ballet, theater and other folk dances. We are proud to bring this traditional dance to El Farol to share with our neighbors and friends.
